I really like this song. Today i tried to mix something at a friend's house. Didn't work. I was just too tired because of the week, and i thought i need to mix something, to feel relaxed but also didn't work, then just went back home to my bed and slept for hours. Now i feel better. For now, i just want to listen to this song that i really like, it's perfect and it brings back good memories of a lot of things that i did when i was in Berlin. This song has a special meaning to me... like a sense of freedom, of not knowing where you go just driving, entering to this special city, with people you don't know for more than 5 hours and just watching, keep watching how things, little and big ones are passing by, people coming and going. So now, im just enjoying this song just hearing it and feeling it. So, here it is:

these little bastards
Yestserday i was so f.....ing happy because i saw on ebay one of these pioneer cdj-200 cd players at a really cheap price. I was thinking, this one is already mine! I have this friend, who is the one that has the ebay account (that's how i got the mixer) and i told him, please pay attention to this item. Few hours later i recieve a message from him to my cell phone where he says... sorry the final price was 221 dlls. Shit i was close... i had 200 dlls. Anyway... i'll get them next time (ok just one of them until i save more money).

"Menos mal" by Gerardo González
Here is the first track that i made a couple of weeks ago. The name is "Menos mal". As it says in the description, i was just playing around with the software and this came up. I think its kinda cool. I can't say that i liked a 100% the final result but i believe it has its moments, so i'm just leaving it like that. Menos mal by Gerardo González

getting started
Ok, now i'm gonna show the basic stuff that i have right now. It's not much, but it's something to begin with. Basically it's just a couple of speakers to monitor myself in my rooom, a reciever, a midi controller behringer bcd2000 (ok this one belongs to a friend, but i'll get my mixer soon), headphones and of course, a computer. Yeah, as i said, it's not a lot, but it's expensive to get first quality equipment. Now im saving money to get a pair of pioneer cdj-200.

the first one...
Not sure of what to write in this first post. I've created this blog since 2008 (can't remeber the reason) but didn't used it. Wait, i remember now...i wanted to write some quotes from books or some stuff like that...but guess what... didn't do it...maybe that was not a good reason for me to start blogging (i respect the people who do that in their bloggs) anyway... i believe that i found now a reason to do it.
I'm always obsessed with music. I love music. But it's not a normal love, it's kind of an illness (i even count the beats outloud when i'm walking on the streets and i think if i could see me from the perspective of another person i would have to say that poor guy is fucked up he speaks to the air) and i'm pretty sure there are lots of people who feel the same way as i do and even lots of more people who write about that. The thing is, that i love music so much, that i want to do even more than just listening to it. I want to mix it, create it.
I've been thinking since the last couple of days, that i should do a blog, and write my experience in getting involved with the djing stuff. I think it could be fun (hope so) and i think it can also help me, just to expose myself and tell the world how i suck at mixing (so far i really do) and try to make the most of it. I think people try harder when they know someone is watching (in my world, i still think that someday someone will read this...ha...) and that also leads me to the reason why i did this in english. I live in Mexicali, Mexico...i speak spanish but, i believe almost everyone speaks english and i would like that the visitors can actually understand what is written in here, and i also know that doing this in english the chances that i do recieve an actual visit to my blog increase, so yeah basically that's the reason why.
So, thanks for the time of reading this, hopefully i will not forget this blog like in 2008 i did, let the road to the beat begin.
